Bint el Nas: Do You Understand Me
Bint el Nas is designed to serve the needs and interests of women who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer (including female-to-male and male-to-female trans* people in any state of transition), and who are identified ethnicially or culturally with the Arab world, regardless of where they live. This includes women of mixed ethnic heritage, and women who are from non-Arab minority groups that exist within the Arab world. While inevitably terminology is going to disappoint us and may feel imposed, we felt it important to name the groups that we intend to serve as best we can.
